Classifier Spiral
Spiral classifiers of the KSN type (spiral classifier with an unloaded spiral) are intended for calibration and preliminary hydraulic classification during grinding, for separating material into a granular part and sludge, freeing from slags, washing ore and sand.
A spiral classifier-apparatus, in the form of an inclined trough (with an angle of 12 ° -18 °), in which one or two rotating shafts with belt spirals mounted on them are placed, made on a helical line, designed to separate finely ground material in an aqueous medium when enrichment of non-ferrous and ferrous metals and other minerals.
The starting material is pulp, which is a suspension of mineral parts. Sands with a particle size of not more than 25 mm are a large separation product, and a drain with a particle size with a nominal particle size of 0.15 mm to 0.83 mm is a thin product.
Sands and sinks are the final product of classification. Classifiers are used in enrichment, in the metallurgical, construction and other industries.
The advantage of this equipment is the simplicity of design and reliability. The standard sizes of classifiers are characterized by the diameter of the spiral and the long body.
